No Fire—Just Firefighters at Work

You may have seen members of Eagle Fire Company #1 – Mount Wolf, PA (York County Station 22) out in the community recently—and no, there wasn’t a fire.

Our volunteers were hard at work clearing snow, ice, and debris from local fire hydrants. While it may not look like an emergency, this work plays a critical role in public safety.

In every emergency, time is of the essence. Fire hydrants that are blocked or difficult to access can delay firefighting operations when seconds matter most. By taking the time now to ensure hydrants are visible and accessible, we’re helping protect our neighbors, homes, and businesses when it matters most.

This proactive effort reflects the commitment of our volunteer firefighters to serve the Mount Wolf community—not just during emergencies, but every day. The work we do today may very well make a difference for someone tomorrow.

We appreciate the continued support of our community and encourage residents to help by keeping hydrants near their homes clear whenever possible. Together, we can make Mount Wolf a safer place for everyone.
